Very quirky Valentine’s gift helps protect local wildlife really long headline

If you’re struggling for gift ideas this Valentine’s Day, Dorset Wildlife Trust are encouraging people to adopt an endangered animal.

As well as making an adorable gift, 100 percent of the donation goes towards protecting local animals such as hedgehogs, beavers barn owls and the now rarely sighted red squirrel.

The trust hope to fight the effects of climate change, recovering the dwindling numbers of wild animals left across the county by 2030.

Donations go towards protecting the wild and restoring natural habitats, while working with landowners to make space more sustainable.

Adopting an animal cost £15 and includes a photograph, fact sheet about your chosen new friend and a valentines electronic card to help go waste free.

Dorset Wildlife Trust is the largest nature conservation charity in Dorset and helps to protect precious wildlife and endangered species.
