Voss becomes the extreme sports capital of the world for the 24th time

From 26. June – 3. July, top athletes from all around the world, together with thousands of visitors creates the small town of Voss into the extreme sports capital of the world. After two years of pandemic, Ekstremsportveko has an impressive program.

- Finally, Ekstremsportveko is back in town, this time even bigger and better. The festival means a lot to the identity and brand of Voss. The fact that we can host the world’s largest extreme sports festival every summer, which attracts athletes from all over the world, gives the town great international attention, says Gry Bystøl, manager of Visit Voss.

Ekstremsportveko is the world’s largest extreme sports festival, and is hosted every year in Voss, Western Norway. What started as a joint extreme sports festival amongst kayakers, rafters, sky divers and paragliders in 1998, have grown to become the worlds’ largest extreme sports festival of its kind. This year marks the 24th edition of the popular extreme sports festival.
